Counter-Strike Condition Zero Download
Counter-Strike: Condition Zero (CS:CZ) is the single-player-focused sequel to Counter-Strike 1.6, released by Valve in March 2004. It keeps the classic multiplayer everyone knows and adds a full Tour of Duty campaign: mission-based challenges against surprisingly capable AI teammates and opponents, spread across jungle, arctic, desert and city maps. Rescue hostages, escort VIPs, defuse bombs – all the classic objectives, but playable alone.
What makes Condition Zero different from CS 1.6?
- Tour of Duty single-player campaign – over 20 missions with specific objectives (win with a knife kill, rescue all hostages, hold a position), unlocking new maps and smarter teammates as you progress.
- Improved bots – CZ’s AI was the most advanced of its era, and its bots later became the standard way to practice offline.

Condition Zero or Counter-Strike 1.6?
If you want the game the worldwide community actually plays online, that is Counter-Strike 1.6 – its server list is far larger and every popular mod (Death-Run, Zombie Plague, CSDM) lives there. Choose Condition Zero when the single-player campaign interests you, or when you want the best offline bot matches on classic maps. Many players simply keep both installed: they share the same engine and controls, and each is a small download by modern standards.
System requirements
CZ runs on the same modest hardware as CS 1.6: a 1.2 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM, 700 MB of disk space and any video card made in the last two decades. Windows XP through Windows 11 are supported, and any modern laptop handles the game at maximum settings.
